Bipolar Disorder Symptoms
The bipolar disorder symptoms can differ from one person to another person but it is based on which type of bipolar illness they possess and the different episodes that they are experiencing. Each human that suffers from bipolar disorder will possess varying symptoms or attitudes that are displayed because it is indeed different for every sufferer. Thus, this means that handling the illness is not very simplistic because you are not always aware of what you are dealing with, because every case is unique.
The bipolar disorder can impact both sexes and it is unbiased but researchers have discovered that females tend to experience more consistent episodes and mood swings that are faster. Furthermore, one’s age does not comprise much of a factor about who acquires it. But the typical age lies at around twenty-five-years-old. However, the illness has been observed to impact children and teens, and the elderly. So we cannot limit it to a single age category. Researchers also believe that a genetic link to it may exist as well. So the illness could travel through one’s relatives.
These sufferers typically exist with a roller coaster-like mind and can shift from feeling truly well during one moment, to awful during the next moment. Typically it is not very frequent for these mood alterations happen. However, a mood swing will result in a complete episode. This could continue for a while based on which type of episode it actually is.
Not one of the behaviors that are linked to the bipolar disorder is typical, apparently. Furthermore, they can alter a patient’s relationships and career fairly easily and can result in much stress due to of their actions—which is practically out-of-control. The behaviors that those humans with bipolar disorder have do not simply impact them but these behaviors will also cause huge emotional stress on their friends and relatives around them also, and could result in fiscal stress as well.
The two primary varieties of bipolar disorder are depression and mania. And these two types are essentially the pair of behavioral extremes that result from the bipolar disorder. A human suffering from the bipolar disorder could furthermore display their behavior at any place, within this pair of extremes. When humans are experiencing a manic episode, it becomes difficult to predict what they will do. Also, they act as if they have no responsibilities and can be relatively childish at times. This could become a huge problem and places both themselves and other people in danger. While perhaps the results are not as physical as those during the depressive episodes, the results are emotional and financial in particular.
Some suffers could resort to consume much alcohol, habitual drug abuse, and becoming involved in abnormal sexual behavior (including some extremely odd fantasies). However, these are merely a sample of the most drastic symptoms that may occur, as it is commonplace for a person within the mania phase to develop an addiction of a thing that is not beneficial to him or her.
When they eventually turn to a depressive episode, this is when the psychology becomes relevant. Suffers could hear voices that are not truly surrounding them, they could hallucinate, and even believe that they possess powers that are superhuman. Sudden mood swings that are extreme could also happen, so they could shift from very excited to suicidal in just a few seconds.
If by chance you suffer from bipolar disorder, then it is difficult to experience a standard lifestyle in the case you live with the utterly extreme and quick mood swings that are linked to the disorder. Many people that indeed suffer from bipolar disorder are not even aware that they possess it (typically the mood swings are not as extreme though) and in several instance even if they visit a doctor, they could obtain a misdiagnosis.
Many humans live relatively normal lives with bipolar disorder without being aware that they possess it. They basically believe that it is merely normal and do not believe that there is anything odd about it. So they fail to adjust themselves as necessary.
